Nailed it! #1

I don't know about you, but I had a lovely Christmas. I did get some very exciting presents, one of them being the topic of this blogpost! My 10 year old brother got me a couple of nail polishes. Bless him, he is so sweet!
After getting this present I've rekindled my love for nail polishes. This is my favorite at the moment.

I know what you are gonna say. You expected a sparkly, festive red, right? Nope, not today! :P
This nail polish is from Charlotte Russe. It is alright for a $3.50 nail polish. Not as good as an Essie, but you get what you pay for. I love it nonetheless.
I hope you all had a great Christmas!

Should I or should I not?

So, here's the deal. Lately I have gotten sick of my hair. I am just so bored with it and I feel like it is time for a change. I considered cutting it but I know for sure that I will cry myself to sleep every night if I do. That might sound so superficial but I know for sure that short hair is just not for me. So, cutting my hair is officially not an option.
That's why I am thinking of changing the color of my hair. I don't want to completely dye all of it, so I am still contemplating on whether or not to ombre my hair. I am thinking about doing something like this:

If I do end up ombre-ing my hair, then I will probably have my mom do it, as I don't really feel like paying a ridiculous amount of money in a salon. Hopefully I'll make up my mind soon and I'll report back with the result!

My Christmas Wishlist!

I was really bored today, so I decided to finally make my Christmas wishlist! Unfortunately I have to do something like this usually every year because my parents are one of those people that do NOT get hints. It just goes over their heads all the time.

I will give you an example so you don't think I'm being dramatic. I was talking with my dad the other day, about what we are going to do for Christmas and Christmas presents. I told him that I would like a surprise this year because I am one of those people that do enjoy surprises. He then, for some unknown reason, decided to ignore me and say "Oh, I was thinking about getting you.....". Seriously? why would he tell me what he wanted to get me, right after I told him I like surprises? So, that was my little example for you, just so you don't think I'm overreacting.

Anyway, like I said before, I do like surprises but I want it to play it a bit safe this year and that's why I came up with this wishlist. Also there will be links on all of the products just in case you wanted to buy something for someone or even yourself. So, here it is:

My Christmas Wishlist:
1. "Russian Red" Mac lipstick - $15
I absolutely love this color. I first came across it when Zoe was talking about it on her YouTube channel and when I actually saw it on her I thought "That's it, I have to have this!"
2. Hand Food Mini by Soap and Glory - $5
Again, I learned about this brand/product by Zoe and Tanya, so I know that it is going to be amazing! The best thing about it is that it is not very expensive and I can take it with me everywhere since it comes in a small tube as well.
3. Flake Away body polish/scrub by Soap and Glory - $18
Like the product above it is by Soap and Glory which people say is amazing! And I actually need this because for some reason I don't have acne on my face but I do on my body. :(
4. Lauren Conrad Beauty and Lauren Conrad Style  - $15.98  and $10.80
I just know that I will really enjoy these books! And when I found out about them I was so excited! :)
5. American Eagle boots - $40
I have bought a pair of boots that look like Uggs from American Eagle and I am so happy with them. So I would really like to receive this style in black. I know I will wear them a lot and they are just so warm! I really don't see the point on getting Uggs when I can get the American Eagle ones for a fraction of the price!
6. A subscription to Elle Magazine!  - $10
I found out about it yesterday and I could not contain my excitement! It is only $10! Goodness gracious! Also, Elle is the magazine I got my name from! ( it's a long story that I'll talk about in another blogpost)
7. Last but not least, I think a gift card is a safe gift that you know someone will enjoy. And I think my top pick would be H&M! I am in love with that store! It never fails to impress me. Plus they have a sale and the day after Christmas you can get scratch offs up to $300!

So, that's it! All these gifts are quite cheap, nothing too pricey! I honestly pray to God that my parents see this! Honestly, it shows that they took enough time out of their day and actually searched for my presents. I think that's more important, at the end of the day. To know that they care! :)

My Ultimate Stocking!

I had so much fun making the "gift guide for her" blogpost, so I decided to make a guide to stocking stuffers! So as I was making this guide, I realized that this is turning out to be my "ultimate stocking"!
Some of the stuff are slightly expensive but you don't have to include everything in the stocking that you're making. Prices range from $4.50 to $19.
1. Lindt Chocolate Bear Set- $4.50
2. H&M Beanie- $12.95
3. Rubber Heart Coin Purse- $5.80
4. Soap and Glory hand cream- $5.00
5. Japanese Cherry Blossom shower gel- $11.00
6. MAC lipstick (Russian Red)- $15.00
7. Geo Pattern Necklace- $10.80
8. Union Jack Heart Umbrella- $7.50
9. OPI nail polish set- $19
10. Soap and Glory body scrub/polish- $18.00

So, that's my ultimate stocking! I couldn't pick only one favorite item like I did on my previous gift guide. But for this one it has to be the MAC lipstick, and the two "Soap and Glory" products.
I hope you guys liked my stocking stuffer suggestions. Hopefully they gave you ideas on what you want to put on your children's or sister's stocking this year!

Christmas Gift Guide For Her!

Christmas is finally here and I am really excited. Christmas is my favorite holiday! You spend time with you family, eat tons of food, relax, and exchange gifts. One of my favorite things is picking out gifts for my family and friends. It is such a fun process that I look forward to all year long.
However, for some people it can be a little stressful and they just need a little push to get them started. That's why I prepared a little gift guide for HER. It could be your sister, girlfriend, mother, cousin or your friend. There is a gift for everyone in this guide. The gifts are priced from $10 to $178, so there is a wide variety of prices.
I had the best time making this Gift Guide! My favorite present are the Lauren Conrad books. It is something I would definitely want to get for Christmas!

Hidden Treasure!

While I was in Connecticut for thanksgiving Jenness and I went shopping quite a lot! One of the shops we went to was a thrift store. Now, I was not a big fan of thrift stores myself because I always thought that they smelt bad. But after that last trip I completely changed my mind!

I found a pair of Doc Martens! I was thrilled to see them at the rack! They have a snakeskin print on them and they are in excellent condition!Although I won't wear them as much (they are quite daring), this pair is just such a great item to own!

The price of this item was $15. Crazy right?

I think the key to shopping in thrift stores is to not get discouraged and the search thoroughly!
Happy Thrift-Shopping!

My Favorite Youtubers!

Let me start off by saying that my week has been pretty uneventful. So, nothing excited to report.
However, I've been watching a few YouTube videos lately, and there are some youtubers that have really grown on me. And for some reason I felt like I needed to share that with the rest of the world! Weird? I think so! :P
I was actually never into YouTube that much until my friend Chiling introduced me to my favorite people on YouTube ever; Jack and Finn Harries (Jacksgap). Jack makes fun, funny and interesting videos about his life and some of them are featuring his twin brother Finn. Bonus? They are both very attractive! ;)
Zoe Sugg or Zoella is a beauty youtuber/blogger that I absolutely adore. Her and Louise (sprinkle of glitter) are so funny! What I love about Zoe the most is that she is really real. She doesn't pretend to be something that she isn't. To be honest, she is one of the people that I would love to meet someday. One can only hope, right?
Ingrid or Miss Glamorazzi is another fashion and beauty youtuber that I really enjoy watching. Ingrid is just so happy all the time, her attitude just makes my day whenever I watch her videos. And she seems like such a sweet person!
A few other people I've enjoyed watching their videos are Marcus Butler, Alfie (PointlessBlog), Tanya Burr and Jim Chapman, Bethany Mota and Joe Sugg!

I heart Dior!

So, this weekend was pretty plain, nothing exciting happened. Well, except from all the 1D drama and if you are a directioner you'll know. Mr X, really?
Anyways, I was looking through my jewelry and makeup and I got bored so I started looking through my mom's makeup bag. I was surprised by the amount of color there is in her bag. After having seen a collection of green, blue and yellow eyeshadows I started feeling a little pessimistic. Until, I stumbled across a certain palette. It is the 5 Couleurs by Dior. I was so pleased to find it! I later went and did a little research on the brand and realized that I actually own a pencil eyeliner by Dior that I use everyday!
So what better way to celebrate this discovery? Test the products and take some pictures! :)

These eyeshadows are so pigmented! I absolutely love all the colours. I would have to say my favorite is the middle one (in the palette). It is a rosegold colour. They last a long time as well. Perfect for a night out! :)
There are not enough good things I can say about this pencil eyeliner. But one thing is for sure; no more panda eyes!
5 Couleurs eyeshadow palette- $59.00
Khol Pencil- $29.00
After telling my mom how much I love this product she very kindly let me use it whenever I want. Thanks mommy! :)
P.S. I didn't purchase the product myself.

Black Friday Madness?

As you might have noticed I haven't posted anything about my Black Friday shopping. Don't let it fool you! Of course I went! I wouldn't miss it for the world.
This year was the first time I went full out. I'm talking waiting outside a store at midnight, waking up at 5:30 in the morning, getting great deals! To be honest, it wasn't as crazy as I thought it would be, hence the question mark at the end of the title. And I have to admit that the sale wasn't as great as I thought it would be but I still managed to get some cute stuff.
Anyways, the things I got myself on Black Friday are the following:

This shirt is actually a bright teal colour. It looks a little dull in the photo though.
Forever 21- $9.00

These are just leggings from TJMaxx. They might seem like jeans because they have a zipper, but they're not.
TJMaxx- $14.99

Just a simple black coat. Not much to say about that :P
Forever 21- $8.99

I am so excited to try these eyeshadows. They are quite sparkly too, although you can't really tell in the photo.
Forever 21- $0.99

I actually got these earrings for free. They were giving out coupons the week before black Friday. And, to be honest when I read that they were giving away a free piece of jewelry I thought it would be really ugly, but it is actually really cute. A bit too girly maybe, but I can work with it.

And the things that my parents got me:

I LOVE this colour. (It photographs very nice as well) It is a hot pink high-low sweater.
Hollister- $15.00

You will not believe how warm this sweatshirt is!

This is actually my favorite thing I got. My very first pair of yoga pants! They are so comfortable and I was so pleased that I finally bought them.
Burlington Coat Factory- $14.99
I know I could probably put all the clothes together and not take as many pictures, but photography is an aspect of blogging that I absolutely love. And I can't wait to take a lot more photos in the future.
A massive thank you to Jenness who helped me with the photos and lend me her camera! :)

P.S.: My parents and I didn't spend Thanksgiving together, since they don't celebrate this holiday (no thanksgiving in Albania or Greece), hence the 2 separate black Friday shopping trips.

My Thanksgiving holiday! :)

I feel kind of weird posting about Thanksgiving this late, but I will anyway! :P
My Thanksgiving was great! I had the best time. It was really busy but that's what I liked about it. I didn't just sit there in front of my TV all day; that would've been really boring and a total waste of time. So, let's get started.
We arrived in Coventry on Wednesday and we started preparing the Thanksgiving meal. On Thursday we went to the Manchester road race. It was a very nice day out so it wasn't too miserable for the runners who had to run 5 miles. I think I'm gonna run the race next year. It's gonna be an interesting experience since I don't like running!
After the race, we went back home to cook the infamous thanksgiving turkey. and guess what? We had two kinds: a fried and a baked one! We all got dressed, people started arriving and we began our feast!
The bad part is that we were having so much fun that we didn't get to take a lot of photos. :(

After the meal a bunch of us went to watch Breaking Dawn part 2! I am a fan, so I really enjoyed the movie. Needless to say that I am heartbroken that this is the last one. After the movie we went midnight Black Friday shopping. It was very exciting and fun and unexpected and a million other things, that I will post about tomorrow otherwise this blog post is gonna be super long. That's all for now! :)

P.S.: I thought this picture was quite interesting so I thought I should include it! :P

My day at the mall

So, today I finally found time to go to the mall. I had a really great time. My mom and I got to talk a lot and spend time together. It was a fun, girly day! :)
Furthermore, today was the first time a had my make up done by a professional makeup artist at Nordstrom. I asked him about foundations and which one I should use. He said I didn't need to wear any, but when I'm going out or I need a bit more coverage I should use a tinted moisturizer. I am actually really excited to go and purchase my first official make up product!
I also saw Santa! :P
Here are some pics of my amazing day at the mall!

My first blog post!

Hello everyone!
I am not too sure if anyone is reading this, but I just want to introduce myself since I am fairly new around here. My name is Elle and I am a typical 17 year old, minus the drinking. I originally had my mind set on starting a vlogging channel on YouTube, but that idea was shut down by my parents. So, then I thought "Well, why don't I just start blogging?". I started thinking about it and I decided to just go for it! So, this blog is mainly going to be about fashion and life in general, however there might be a little beauty component thrown in there. To be honest, the only makeup that i wear is eyeliner and mascara, so if I recommend any foundation or blush and such, it must mean that it's really good! Keeping in mind that i am a senior in high school and I am quite busy I will blog about 3 times a week. Having said that, I think I'm gonna go now, but I'll be back tomorrow! Bye :)
